So glad we found this tour! It was so great to finally see horse farms from the inside and we definitely felt that going with the tour guide Shaun, we were getting the best angle. Shaun is incredibly well connected in the Lexington horse racing scene and his stories are hilarious. It was also so precious to be able to stop and pet several of the horses, including foals, which range from $17k-$1 million in worth, if I remember. The horses were very gentle and socialable. He was also able to tell us about each farm's owner and their interesting backgrounds and lifestyles. Great fun. Only regret is that we forgot to get a picture with Shaun!

Unique horse farm tour and Shaun Washington did not disappoint! The farms and countryside were beautiful and Shaun is so knowledgeable and a natural entertainer. Each time I have been on his tour he has thrown in something extra like a stop at an equine vet to observe a surgery or a stop at a local watering hole or eatery. He also narrates facts, history and personal experiences with the Lexington horse community throughout the drive and while at each of the amazing farms. I highly recommend Unique Horse Farm tours.

We had a great time on what turned out to be a private tour for my wife and I. Our driver was wonderful and his knowledge of the farms and his stories where wonderful. Unique Horse Farm Tours was exactly wat the name implies. We highly recommend them.

This is a wonderful tour where you learn a lot about the horse farm practices and you get to see lots of beautiful horses. We were able to pet them and give them a peppermint. This was so much fun! May come back just to do this tour again. This tour is a must if you love horses!!

My husband and I did the horse farm tour yesterday in Lexington with tour guide Jeff. It was amazing!! We traveled to several farms and got to see the horses up close outside and in the barns. Jeff had plenty of peppermint candies we could feed to the horses. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the farms, their owners, and overall horses in general. We didn't want the tour to end!! It was three hours and we met at Embassy Suites to be picked up. There are hotel signs to pay for parking, but we checked and that is only for overnight guests of the hotel. The tour company states parking is free and it is. Just wanted to mention it so people weren't confused. Again, we had an amazing time, and this is a must see tour if you are in the area and are interested in horses and horse racing! Just sit in an air conditioned van, take in the amazing views and let Shaun do the driving and storytelling. Each horse farm he takes you to has a unique and different purpose which is great. great experience.

My husband and I apsolutely loved this tour of the beautiful horse farms. Even though it rained all day Jeff our tour guide was amazing, so helpful, knowledgeable, and full of hilarious stories about the people who owned the farms but also his life journey, which was astonishing.. Highly recommend the tour and Jeff..lovely person.

We brought a small tour group for the farm tour. Our guide Shawn Washington was so fun, we barely remembered it was raining out. He made sure we saw all the highlights. We were up close to the yearlings, 2 year olds and fed peppermints to some of the horses at the farm for retired horses. Mr. Washington knew so many facts, it was amazing. Our tour time went way too fast. Thank you Shawn Washington!

I've done this tour 4 times now, and I can say very confidently, that it's one of the best Kentucky tours you can go on if you want to see horses! Shaun Washington is a phenomenal tour guide. Every time I've done this tour, we end up going somewhere different. I've taken so many different family members and friends on this tour now, and they've always loved it. Lots of horses to pet (and sometimes give treats to), very unique and fun information from Shaun (including some awesome stories and interesting fun facts about horses), and good recommendations for local food and activities. I will continue to take friends and family on this tour!
